A Better Version of Rondo...

I haven't really tried to draw likenesses for a long time, but I gave it a shot with Rajon. I don't think I've got him down yet, but this is abetter version. Hopefully the more I do, the better they will get.

Let's Go, Rondo!!

This is my first attempt at Rondo. I don't think I got his face quite right, but I think I nailed it from the neck down.

Tis The Season, Part 2

Here are the last three pages of this story. I like these the best. I really enjoyed mirroring the two main character's actions. It's a simple, yet effective, storytelling trick.

PS...the trick to ridiculously thick and even lines using ink? Q-tips.

'Tis The Season, Part 1

I did this six page "holiday" themed story a while back. It's not the greatest thing I've worked on, but there are a few elements I really like. Here are the first three pages...

The Hassle of Traveling

Traveling sure can be a hassle. Whether on a plane, train or bus, traveling with your fellow man isn't always fun. I did this watercolor representing exactly who I do NOT want to be sitting next to while going on a trip.

Ink Wash...

Here's an ink wash I did of one of my favorite bands, The Byrds (taken from the cover of The Best of the Byrds Vol. II). Ink washes are somewhat like using water colors, except they aren't as malleable. One you put something down, its there for good.

In Living Color

JB colored one of the Lobster Bib pages I did. He did a great job. Check out his website (look in my 'Links').

Lost Sketchbook...

I can't seem to find one of my sketchbooks. I had a few interesting pieces in there. Fortunately I took a picture of one of the better sketches. Check it out...

More 'Lobster Bib'

Here are the last four pages of this 8 page story. As you can tell, I still need work on my lettering techniques. It's not easy being a lefty, and inking your letters backwards so you don't smudge them. But that's no excuse.

Let me know what you think...

"Lobster Bib"

So I created these characters a while back and made a short 8 page story for them. It's about a New England Lobsterman and his son. I really like the basic premise of these characters, but I need to develop them more. I've been working on them off and on for a few years now.

Here's the the first four pages of the comic...

My first time...

Hello. This is my first posting on my blog. I am going to be using this site to post up some illustrations I've done, and projects I am working on. Constructive feedback and suggestions are always appreciated, and offers for work are too!
